chemspec pile lifter
« on: December 01, 2007, 02:39:42 pm »
Hi

Does anyone have a Chemspec pile lifter I could hire. I've never used one and I have a large commercial carpet to clean soon. I wanted to see how it performs before buying one.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion.

I already have an envirodri but I didn't want to have to go over the carpet with that and then vacuum. Maybe you have a better idea on how to use the envirodri.

The Envirodri will bring the pile up 10 times better. You can use your extraction hose to vac up before cleaning or an upright vac.

Don’t know what cc machine you have, but it can be adapted for vacuuming (turbo head and dust downer) my preference would be on office carpets Holloway/Sebo dart. ;D

Thanks for replies so far.

I'm thinking that a sebo bs 46 may be the answer mainly because of the wide cleaning path.
How does it compare with the dart?

Both similar in power. The 46 would be better for commercial areas due to its width. The Dart is more suited to domestics as it is more manouverable, but can also be used on commercials.

I think the dart comes in 2 head widths as well but not as wide as the BS46

The stiffer brushes are a further enhancement to the performance of a BS46, especially on low profiles.  I use them nearly all the time.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Yes David, they're red or orange. Can't remember which, and I don't fancy running down to the van to check either.

Some dealers on Ebay with them but same price as SEBO but I think delivery cheaper.
