Alex X-Tel 28 Foot?
« on: October 21, 2007, 09:35:21 am »
Alex,

I am about to make an important investment of buying a new pole, I have about £350 would you recommend the X-Tel 28 foot? Is that the best buy for the money? And I am thinking of the light brush to go with it, how long will it last?

I would like comments from any body please!

I have the 34 Xtel composite and its fine but............it is a little heavy for all day use. You get use to it but last week I used my old 18ft fibreglass and thought wow thats light.

You will be fine with the 28ft tho.

Im near the city so if you wanna have a feel of my pole sometime, yer more than welcome.

If you are referring to the 28ft Hybrid at £265 (plus brush, shipping and VAT), then it is a very good pole and would be my choice at this height. I would go for the lightweight brush that we have as an option as although the bristles do not last as long it is very good and easy to work with. I would reckon on changing this brush at between 4-6 months if used a lot. By then we will have our own brand lightweight brush on the market which will be even better.

I can recomend the 28'. It is quite light and very stiff and will handle nearly all the situations you come across. I changed to 34' and it's definatly a lot heavier.

I use 17' fg xtel mostly
