« on: October 11, 2007, 01:31:00 pm »
We are looking to start taking payments by credit cards again, any of you guys know what the best rates areand who with?  I heard Bank of Ireland were good at 6% but that was a while ago.

If you mean thats what they charge you for a client paying by credit card then it seems steep to what I have paid in the past.

I used to have a computer build and repair business and when I went to but parts on cc I was charged 4%, debit cards 0%

When you check how much it costs for banking a cheque it does not seem too much.

Steve,  prices are + vat and its a 3 year contract, if you break it you pay for it...around £500 for terminal!
So thats around £26 a month for terminal + transactions, maybe around the £50 a month mark all in.
If you bank through FSB co op its free banking for all transactions.
I guess you just have to weigh up whether its worth it or not for your business, ive looked at it very recently and decided against it at mo as its just another debit every month which i dont  need!
