New work percentages
« on: October 09, 2007, 03:14:37 pm »
Just worked out some figures of new work comes from, theese are taken over the last 50 jobs.  The internet figure is unaturally low because the last few internet jobs have all seemed to book a few weeks in advace.  im well chuffed with the recommendation/repeat business figure though.  How does everyone else compare?  (i know where had a similar topic recently but never saw any percentages).

1. YP 4.4%
2. Recommedations and Repeat 33%
3. Leaflets 49%
4  Internet 5%
5  Local Press 6.6%
6. Yellow Pages 2%

Theese are based on domestic only, commercial work is maketted differently.

AJB - no repeat business?

Need to seperate repeat and referral I did and was surprised at the figures.

Leaflets are doing the business depending on what your spending 25 jobs from the last 50 is very good.  Only 3 jobs from Yellow Pages something wrong there bigtime.

My rec and repeats are about 80% of my business, with Xmas coming up I'd like it to go down for new custom and then come back in January when I want them.

True

I'd also like the Missus to turn into a 21 year old busty nimfo who worships the ground I walk on, cooks, cleans, irons, doesn't answer back, doesn't spend any money, lets me go on the computer without snide remarks.

Well anyone of the above will do.

Hi, im happy with the Repeat/Recommend figure becuase if you break it down most of it is recommendation, i wouldnt expect my repeat to be very high yet as ive only been goin 18 months and 6 of that was part time so dont have a massive customer base to market too.  Hopefully one day ill reach Shauns levels untill then ill have to just keep plugging away, ill get there.

Only been on my own for just over 18 months now. Previous 10 years subbing.
The referral figure is repeat work as well.
Gone are the days of 25 - 35 jobs a week!
10 - 15 suites a week.
8 - 10 average jobs a week does me now.
