Window Cleaning Rounds For Sale Website
« on: October 06, 2007, 09:06:37 pm »
Hi All,

There used to be a website (http://www.window-cleaning.biz) which listed window cleaning rounds for sale... This isn't around anymore.

If another similar site was made available do you think people would use it to buy and sell rounds?

Actually I've just noticed a section on http://www.windowcleaningresources.co.uk that offers rounds for sale.

But I wonder how useful a dedicated site would be?

I already have great domain names for that, if you want to talk more  ;)
I also have a few other things up my sleeve once wfp is up and working that will help everyone  ;)

If it was genuine it would be good, but when i've looked they've been selling rounds they've canvassed.

Where would the income stream come from? Matt's DIY site is well used and there is a need for it but again no income stream. By definition those that go on DIY want something for nothing and so are the least likely to part with hard earned.

VG you have got my brain ticking now, people that DIY not always want something for nothing, they are just handy andy's nothing wrong in that, I myself bought a system and will be fitted by professionals main reason being for safety, the next one I will build myself but have the tank always fitted by someone that knows what they are doing, I aint risking 600kg static water weight hitting me in the back or anyone that works for me. that should be made law (and i'm sure in time it will be when someone is squashed afer a racket strap is not tightened etc, certification should be done IMO (that rant out the way)
some people go diy to lower costs and still buy work, I spoke to a guy the other night he went diy yet just spend over a grand on a pole. hope you get my point there.

I can see a site working that sells rounds which will be done in the future, i'm guessing there will be different types ie worked for 10 years/ new canvassed etc.
will look more into this very soon

The bit about bone idle was a joke digging at Matt,(I'd better edit it before he see's it) but the something for nothing bit I believe.
I bought my bits seperatly, that's not DIY. These people buy a brush and drill it out, get a broom handle and some tube and that's a WFP.

I am not knocking anyone that does make their own poles etc, just not my cup of tea.
