Couldn't agree more with DW. DMC are you sure you couldn't have got by without Impact 43 training? I think business link courses were good because they offered help to anyone from any industry to start a business. Business Link was non profit too. Can Impact 43 say the same? By the way you'll notice I referred to Business Link in the past tense that's because it no longer exists a victim of government cuts. Who would you rather see our tax go to a private company offering some training to a select few by inventing a few courses to make a profit? Or someone who benefits all at no profit?

didnt say i couldnt said they helped and that inc the business link ones not just impacts ones.
any training is good no matter who it is from.
i think you guys are forgetting that you can only go fully funded if you have no quilifications prior if not you have to pay for impacts training.

thats three people that need not of posted on this topic then as it helps no one.

These training courses help people and could help save someone life from being educated in health and safety and correct use of equipment, just because you guy do not want to do them does not in anyway make you right.

The funding thats available is for this very thing and  is not for our troops nor for cancer treatments. if we all thought like you then we would all be in trouble.

have you walked into the nice newly fitted charity shops lately ? we all pay and donate to that. you know the tax we pay that goes to our troops well a % anyway, it is sadly a mismanaged business and there seems a lot of waste going into making charity shops look nice (thats a business too).

These guys are trying to help the industry, so what if they made a business from it fair play to them. Have you ever met them ? you would find them some of the nicest guys about and there trying to help others be better educated.

I for one am glad they do these funded courses and I hope they continue to grow these.

I think courses that would help Window cleaners would be a "how to" business management/development course and a Marketing Course for both light commercial and domestic but that are seperated., then a seperate one for larger commercial and tenders.

all the above is a load of bollox

Am I right in thinking you still can't get a training course in the use of a proper window cleaner's ladder (double splay-footed point)

good evening.
is there anything in the pipeline aimed at apprenticeships.
its something i am looking at and to back it up with a bona fide course / courses would be good for the industry.
                                                    cheers david.

a course that dealt with filling in tender applications, they now seem to require more information than ever and it would be good to know i was delivering the information as professionally as the big companies do, i was also reading in a cleaning magazine about safety training and a card called passport to safety i think something similar to this could be a good idea where different aspects of training are put on one document and can be added to without going over the same material on each course
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt
