Dave,

As DS has suggested a soft wide brush but if you're sealing the block seal first then sand and reseal. The sand should glide across the block if sealed first.

As I understand it you re-sand blocks and then seal so you stabilize the sand in the joint thus preventing weed from coming up from between the joints.

A good soft broom will do the job , I always replace brush's often because you need the bristles to have a sort of flicking action to get the sand out of the top of the joint

Hamish, by sealing the blocks and joints first it keeps the weeds from penetrating from ground up and then reseals to seal the sand.
It’s a personal choice but we prefer this method as it’s a better seal for the client.

Thanks for your replies, do you mean the wooden brooms with the natural bristles or the plastic ones  ???
