Hi everyone

Does anyone use the SYR (Scott Young Research) interchange mopping systems?

Cheers

Thanks for replies

Lisa, they have a threaded handle and are of superior quaility.

However, about 2 years ago they changed the design of the mop head socket and the new heads i bought would 'spin' in the handle when wrung out (particulalry when lubricated with water). Because of this i ransacked the shelves of my local  supplier of  these mops and bought up the last 10 or so of the 'old' style mop heads.

But now i am in need of some more and i wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem with the 'new' heads. I mentioned it to the SYR rep at the Cleaning Show earlier this year, but i got a generic 'oh, no one else has said' reply, although he did admit that the design was changed to cut costs. Which annoyed me slightly as (and i told him this) the SYR mops are (were) of such high quality that they were worth paying more for, in other words could they not have raised the price as opposed to lowering the quality, but of course i don't know all the politics and what-not of the commerical buyers etc.

Cheers guys

oh them threaded ones, we had them before the pop on pop off ones the mop heads kept unscrewing when wringing out, thats why we changed to pop on pop off, much better.

Kevin

What are you paying £1.30 for? The mop, the handle, or the bucket?

Contact London cleaning supplies http://www.londoncleaningsupplies.co.uk/

Ask for Larry (the owner) he may have some.

For dolly mops you cant beat The EXEL Revolution mop think Express cleaning supplies do them.
