When you put a tank in it make sure it`s flat, the weight distribution is better. Some people would say you can put 400ltrs of water in them but i wouldn`t go so big in that van.

Somewhere on the van will be a plate giving the GVW (gross Vehicle Weight [or "mass"])
This is the total the vehicle can weigh.
Take it to the nearest public weighbridge and weigh it, with you and as much equipment as you can inside. The difference will be how much you can put in it without breaking the law.

Forget the payload as said before,to much water in that van and your feel like captain birdseye steering a boat.

You might be able to carry more weight and the weigh bridge might give you that impression but put to much water in that van and you`ll be going through a set of break pads a month.

i have a 04 combo and carry 10x25l containers=250l and it drives ok, the payload is 595k but from that you still have to take in consideration your weight/full deposit/kit/and always leave some spare capacity, i would say 250l is spot on 300l max

you should have a plate with all the info on it, normally in the drivers side door opening

There should be 4 strap points on the floor, strap the tank up and across you should need 4 straps.

cleantech do a heavy duty fixng kit.
http://www.cleantech.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_25&products_id=90
You would still have to pay a garage to drill holes through your van floor though. It cost me £80 to get this done on my dispatch.

Those fixing hooks are not the best. As for the payload it is about 560 for most combo's but there are a few about that can carry 775kg. It should say on the log book or maybe on the van if it is a 775 version.
