Couple of prices please??
« on: September 18, 2007, 07:35:55 pm »
Price 1

I know I said I was not taking on anymore domestic cos I’m to busy but this lady phoned up and told me where she lived and I instantly knew it would be a big house. :P

What would you guys have quoted for this place the back is identical to the front and there is two normal size window on each side.

She wanted it done every 8 weeks.

The pic is not her house cos she would not let me take a pic >:( so I drove round the corner and took a pic of an identical house.

Sorry not the best pic

Price 2

What would you charge for doing all the signs you see in the pic??

Every 3 months?
Every 6 months?

I was thinking £30 for every 3 months and £50 for every 6??

I would charge £35 for the house (£40 if they have a nice car sitting in the drive  ;)).

Not sure on the signs though, I have never quoted for signs before.

Cheers guys so far  ;)

I quoted £25 for it and the ambulance is picking her up now, I think she had a heart attack  ;D

last window cleaners charged £16   :o :-X

Ive got no interst in cleaning it, she cancelled the last window cleaners for a) being too expensive b) cleaning in light rain. As soon as she told me that i had no interest in her what so ever.

I was just wondering what other people would have charged?

I would charge around the same price as your quote for the signs,

Just make sure all power is cut before you start, don't just take there word for it, check your self, if you start spraying water and the power is still on, not only do you stand a chance of getting electrocuted, but if it blows fuses and trips in the store, the chances are they will need a sparky to put it right, and guess who gets the bill.
Always be one step ahead of them. ;)

if she was one of those type of customers I would have charged £35 because she would cancel after a clean or 2 and we clean in the rain ;)

Yep I was fast out of the traps on this one ;D ;D

Dunno if I've seen you around Steve. What do you drive and what’s your company called??

They haven’t asked me to clean the signs but when I was there on Monday doing the windows I noticed they where pretty grubby so when I next see the manager ill ask if they would be interested in having the signs cleaned.

The house

£50 1st clean the £25 per clean thereafter, if I turn up to clean and its raining lightly and she cancels the clean until next time, then next clean would be classed as a 1st clean and charged accordingly.

Signs

The same as you but double the price on the 1st clean.
