We usually work on a five day lead time for heaters.
So if you call tommorow it could probably be fitted Thursday or Friday next week.
Its best to call the workshops to get an exact day as I dont have a work schedule here.

hi glynn
what sort of space does the unit take up in the van and could you also let me know what the running costs of the unit are.
Thanks
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

Hi Trevor
The unit is 350mm high 350mm wide and 600mm long
It uses approxamatly 1 litre of diesel per hour in constant running mode, this can of course be red diesel which is much cheaper.

The unit has a 20 litre stainless steel tank built in and when the water temprature in the tank is reached the burner cuts out so fuel is not being used all the time, much the same as a central heating unit is not constantly running all the time it cuts in and out as the thermostat requires. I would estimate that it would cost about 40 - 50 pence an hour.
The great thing is that you could drive a few minutes to the next job and the water in the storage tank will still be hot even though the burner unit is not on.

I didnt want to hijack the post but because of the interest I will give some more technical information.:-

The output temprature is preset to 120 degrees F (49 degrees C) this is varible but it is not advised that adjustments be carried out by DIY users. Internal mechanical adjustments should only be carried out if you have a wide working knowledge of boiler units.

The maximum flow is 4.5 litres per minute - the flow rate is controled by diverting water back into the main holding tank.  The maximum flow allows up to three operators to use the system.

Temprature rise from input temprature is 65 degrees F (18.5 C) at 3 litres per minute - 52 degrees F (11 C) at 4.5 litres per minute.
