kitchen damaged
« on: August 25, 2007, 04:55:55 pm »
We recently cleaned a kitchen floor and the cleaners have put too much water on the floor and caused the iron on edging on the cupboard ends to come away. The client has been alright about it and would be happy with some sort of cap over it.
Trouble is I cant find anything.
has this happened to anybody or does anybody have any suggestions?

Regards

Is it the cupboard OR the plinth that has been damaged?

The reason the strip has come off will be because the chipboard on which it has been attached to will have absorbed water and expanded.

If its the plinth you could fit a new plinth. If its the cupboard then either you stump up for a new cupboard or try to get a new strip ironed on.

That said, i have seen no end of pre-existing damage to chipboard units in clients kitchens so are you quite, quite, 110% absolutly sure that your staff have caused this damage?
