What a day
« on: August 08, 2007, 06:47:46 pm »

I got asked to do an office yesterday so I said I'd go first thing this morning to do the job. Gets there and gets my ladders up then gets asked to do house over the road shop next door and flat above whilst getting ready. Does the office, shop and flat then goes over to do the house. As I'm getting ladders up on the house, next door comes out and asks me to do their's so does both in one go and lucky both back gardens are joined! When I finished them the lady comes out of one and says my mum wants to know if you'll pop down the round and do her house so drives there and does that. Gets another three from this lady phoning her neighbors so does them. Then gets asked to price another house so does that. As I'm finishing the last one a head comes over the fence from the next road....so off I goes again to the next road and does that and the next house to it. I've also had my number taken for relatives, neighbors and friends of all the new work I did today.

Looks like I'll have to work Saturday to catch up on the work I was going to do today. Must have been the best day ever for doing new work. Most of the time I take peoples telephone numbers or give them my card but just thought today I'll do what I get offered and its flown in.  ;D

I had a day like that once, all down the same street, as I got one done, I got another job, still doing them 7 years later.

must be short of window cleaners in that area you did today, could turn out a nice earner for you.

Yeah its a little village that has a bar right in the middle I used to do with my old firm. Around the bar is about 30 shops which never had a window cleaner so when I started I canvassed them and picked up around 15 which is now about 20 about 5 are shut. Also I have three offices on the road and now at least 8 houses but I think a few more are coming on board next visit!
