Getting cement off glass
«

Evening all
does anyone know the best way to get cement off glass without scratching it?
I wish customers would cover their patio doors up when mixing cement or having building work done
thankyou

Thats what i do, give it a good soaking a couple of times and pick it off. Works fine if the cement is quite new. I have in the past soaked it with water and soap and scraped it off, but i would not want to tell you to do that. If its been on there a long time, once off it leaves marks.

If it won't come off with a good soaking then you will need a brand new sharp scraper blade. Even then, it may have etched the surface of the glass due to the acidic nature of the cement.

I always wet it first and then scrape it off with a new scraper, works fine on old stuff as well. Tell the customer that the cement might have caused some permanent damage to the window but that thats not your fault.
