RESIN USE BY DATE?
« on: July 04, 2007, 09:11:56 am »
After looking at a different thread it mentions that resin should maybe not be left too long before use! Is this the case as i have had an opened bag for about 8 months and can not get my TDS below 003?

If the bag is not sealed properly after opening then the resin will absord the moisture in the air thus degrading the resin. I have just exhausted my bag after 6 mnths + and it took my tds down to 000.

I've still got half a sack left which i started using march 2006.
The water after ro is 7 after i've flushed it through.
I use to go through it a bit quicker, but i disconnect from the di when i flush the ro and then turn the valve to 'production' until it is reading 7. Then plug it back into di.
The other post about deteriation of resin caught my eye as well.
