Hi guys

Yes I got fooled to buy this product and tried it on several type of carpets and to tell you the truth it didn’t work on any type of carpets.
What’s so sad about this company is that they have poured lots of money to market this product and they haven’t researched it well. Now after this bad publicity, people like us won’t have so much trust in their company any more.
Why and why and why?

Regards

Bosh

I personally get very good results from it - on wool carpets. I specialise in low-moisture work and Shaun has pointed out that it works well with that system.

Reading Neil's comments I believe that it is a problem with his methods. He says he agitates with pads. M-Power works best while wet, it continues to clean as it dries. If he uses pads straight after pre-spraying it is taking the moiture out - thus reducing it's effectiveness. By using heated pads afterwards the heat is causing it to dry even faster.

If Neil used brushes rather than pads to agitate, and then damp pads to bonnet off later he should get better results.

francis, dont talk wet, saying that M-Power users dont have as high standards is an idiotic remark.  If it be M-Power or Nemesis (ive used both) they do if used correctly give a good result on wool, its the same as any other product you need to work out how best to use it and once you do its good stuff.  Ive also used it on low moisture and its a very good product, i think my standards are very high, and i know Sheffield Shauns are too, ive dumped plenty of products in the past becuase they havent given results so why would this be any different.

I don't understand why there are so many people willing to slag off m-power as well as other solutions products when they don't say a word about other manufacturers products which are very similar.

I use M-Power for most of my work and 95% of the time get very good results. I was also on the original testing board made up of a group of cleaners from around the country to trial the product and help with the research and developement so Boshravie for you to say that the product wasn't researched properly you are simply way off the mark. I have seen first hand what went into researching this product.

It just so happened that last night i was cleaning the downstairs corridors and lounge in an old peoples home. It was minging and it wasn't helped by the previous cleaners attempts which left the carpet slightly shrunk (belgium Wilton which is poly prop by the way.) among other things. I cleaned it at low pressures and with minimal prespray and agitation to stop too much moisture going too far. I was concerned that M - Power may not cut it but after much deliberation decided to tryt it on the first section and if it didn't work carry on with something a little stronger.

I have uploaded a photo of the results. This was just outside of the kitchen as you can see from the tiles. The dirty part was dirtier but this is obviously after pre spray and agitation so it has already started to get to work. This simply blew me away and it all came out with ease.

I tried with high expectations after reading all the comments on the other forum but have now gone back to normal micro splitters. Sometimes works very well, sometimes very poor. I don't have time to mess about with something on the off chance it might work.

You see it is these rare childish comments that gives this forum a bad name and prevents some of the more experienced in the community from posting, which is a big loss.

No need for the silly remarks, either it works for or it doesn't no one forces any us to use products, we see the info and marketing try them out and if its no good move on. For instance there is a Prochem solution which I know lots of you would use but I just can not get on with.

I use M-Power to good effect and also use it in conjunction with Texatherm where the results are outstanding.

If you ask me nicely I might even show you how its done at the CCDO  ;)

oneof the things that has upset me over the years is that certain cleaners who follow the Gospel think they are Gods Gift to the Carpet Cleaning industry.

I do not agree with the silly coments as I have said

Try products if younwant to invest in them if they work for you fine if not use what you are use to.

Every now and then this topic pops up not sure if its hype to get people talking and phones ringing but I am fed up with it so I am going to lock it.
