I don't think that some of you are reading what I have written.
Geoff's original post was factual and professional in style. The pictures could possibly identify the householder, but the topic had been presented well.
We then have comments such as:
"looks like they have taken a dump?", "i think the carpet was mistaken for pink andrex toilet paper." and " A biological warfare outfit would of been handy"This sort of comment is not becoming of an industry or individuals who tryto present a professional and caring image. It is mocking an individual who chooses to be untidy, has obviously had, or a member of the household has had, an embarrasing accident and perhaps doesn't appear to have the same standards as many of our customers. But we are all cleaners, and if we choose to accept an invitation to clean carpets and furnishings in conditions like these, then that's what we'll do. I still believe that it would be wrong to mock the customer.
As for THAT picture, well, what can I say? The photo of me wearing my heavy duty nitrile gloves originally illustrated an article I did about health and safety and how it was important to protect yourself. It was an illustration, if you like, which was the reverse of the protection many techs use, after all, you wouldn't want to be "exposed" to even the mildest of carpet cleaning solutions dressed like that would you? The picture was no more revealing than many I have seen in the national press, which were used as reference at the time. Quite a few people in my local community have seen the picture and have accepted it in good humour. Unfortunately, nobody was envious

Plus, I wasn't mocking anybody, but having a laugh at my own expense.
Safe and happy cleaning
