carbon or fibre glass??
« on: June 12, 2007, 10:17:08 pm »
Does anyone use a carbon pole I am thinking about getting one for my 3/4 storey jobs as the fibre glass can be hard work?!! Haven't used one before, are they worth the money, and are the that much easier to use? does anyone have an opinion one way or another?

Carbon, worth every penny, you'll never use fiber-glass again above ground level.

Considering how much more expensive Carbon Fibre is, does it last any longer than Glass Fibre? I would be very disappointed if I shelled out 100s of £s only to find it needs replacing in 6 - 12 months.

carbon fibre is alot stronger than glass and will "wear" alot better ie: last longer  :)

i use one carbon pole for all my work, which i have owned for the best part of 2 years, and it should easily last the same again......ive seen alot of other cleaners buy...then break....then buy again, cheap glass fibre poles  ??? in the long run they end up spending more money!  my thoughts are you are better buying a lighter carbon pole that will help you to work quicker thus making more money, and it will also last longer.

without boring you all too much  ;D, my first pole about 6 years ago was a 40ft glass fibre. it was soooooo heavy and very fat (was like using a lamp post to clean). however when i did see the light and got a carbon pole i ended up carrying out my work almost twice as quick with alot more ease (no aching arms/back!)............GO CARBON!!!  ;D
