Static system advice.
« on: June 13, 2007, 05:25:46 pm »
Hi, at the moment i fill up straight to the van, but this has become a right pain as we have become very busy. So what i want to do is have a static system thats filling up why im working, and only spend another 15 mins at the end of the day filling the tank up in the van. Now the advice that i need is where is the best place to buy all the kit from? My tap TDS is between 380 - 420 and pressure is between 25 - 30 psi so not great, so would need a booster pump. Do they make a 1000 litre tank that would go through a 680mm width gap? Also need a pump to pump the water to the tank. Can i get this all from one place? Any help and advice would be great. Thanks.

I've seen some long tall thin oil tanks that would go up against a wall nice and can be used to store water, they might fit through the gap.

If you are filling straight to the van, I take it you have an ro in the van, can't you transfer that to the static.

As for transfer pumps, I have a 170L/min sub pump, it works well.  It does depend on the  tank you have though as to go for a sub or external pump.  A sub pump will be cheaper for the output you get.
