This may be a silly question but how long does a brush last? I have been using my vikan for over a year now and although its getting a bit manky it isn't losing its bristles or anything. I was wondering when other people replaced their brushes?.

Have been using 3x oval Vikan (flocked) since Aug 03 one of then is looking a little jaded (use it as rough brush) and the others look like they have at least another year.

Have a new oblong Vikan (non-flocked, 1st used 03/07) which is looking a tad tired and I think it will last another year.

I do not have any other brushes to compare.

Cheers
Dave.

guys really don`t be so unprofessional looking using manky brushes
they are only £11 or so you know what the customers are like they are probably
telling there friends and nieghbours that your gear is manky??as well .Surely
£11 every 6 months isn`t going to break the bank just a thought Edd imo

Depends on the brush.

I have been useing a gaza brush for 15 months and it still looks fantastic, their as been no wear and it as maintained its shape.

I have replaced my minipole brush after 13 months, it was an oval vikan, the bristles on the both ends or corners and become really short which made it more difficult to get into the corners of the windows.

I may replace a cleaningspot brush which after 6 months of use looks like its mind melded with Uri Geller, its totally lost its shape at the ends.

Neil I'm the opposite to you, my Vikan oval has been used for about 6 months and looks new, last couple of months I've been trying a Gaz brush (admittedly it's the lightweight not so robust one) but that wont make it too much longer as the bristles are going well out of shape.
