Hi all,
I have got the worst nicotine stained 3PS there ever was to clean next week. Anybody know what will really do it's stuff in removing it [dont say MS it won't look at it]
The best thing I can think of is Prochem Power Burst and hot hot water to rinse. Or is there a cleaning agent dedicated to remove nicotine. Fabric is raised pattern draylon.

yes mate , i have done a job for a lady who smokes a hundred
a day in s/shields the 3 piece was yellow
prey spray traffic lane , agitate  with a tampico brush
leave for 10 mins
then hwe then again, but you will need to call back after 2 weeks and do it again
the results are fantastic

Prochem Fabric Restorer.....you will see the yellow in the waste water.
and you'll only have to clean it once.

This type of suite cleans easily even if totally loaded with dirt/nicotine.....Last suite I cleaned like this was draylon...in the hands of 2 chain smokers......the suite started off a beige/brown colour.......after usual agitation and rinse of microsplit....it was pink again

Tony why use traffic lane?

There are plenty of upholstery pre-sprays out there that would do the job.Agree with cloverleaf fabric restorer and only one clean cannot see the customer paying twice.

Nicotine on Dralon suites is not a big problem no matter how bad. Any standard upholstery cleaner and certainly fabric restorer will work with hot water. Go back twice, not on your nelly.

I did one near me about a year ago where the old biddy sat and blew smoke in my face the whole time I was there...talk about ignorant! I don't even smoke! Her suite came up like a dream tho and it is very easy to get nicotine off. Just needs a bit of elbow grease and the results can be stunning!

Hi,
Ultrapac renovate prespray if really bad or fabric restorer, agitate and rinse with fabric and fibre rinse. Jus the one clean required.

Thanks for all the ideas chaps. Most of these products I have used before. I have now been in the cleaning industry for 30 years but this really is the worst, the nicotine has hair growing on it. I might use this as testbed for a few comparisons. I shall report back with my findings.

Hi all,

When we are talking about nicotine, I assume it means wood tar with nicotine and other compounds within it.
I remember seeing  a very dramatic demonstration of tobacco being heated up in a test tube - you would not believe the muck that comes out, even up to burning point.
