Jeff I was searching for  a pole and came across this, Seeing as you like to experiment I thought I would bring it to your attention, It,s called a kite pole and weighs 5lb and is 31 ft long,
with my little knowledge Im guessing its too whippy but i really dont know

Pat,it looks very similier to flag pole sections. There is one UK manufactuerer
Who is at present marketing them. What is the situation regarding flag poles
In the US. ? Thanks.
P.S. At 5lb weight it might not be because the ones I`ve tried out weight wise
They are about the same as the modular fishing poles.
