van mount + back pack OR Van mount + trolley??
« on: May 21, 2007, 08:50:11 am »
I'm buying a van mount system soon but to get to hard to reach areas with access problems I'm going to also buy a back pack or trolley as stand by system.

What would others recommened as a suppliment to a van mount system??

I know the back pack v Trolley thread has been done but that was as primary use not as a suppliment to van mount.

Appreciate your advise / comments.

Thanks

Go for the Backpack, If the areas you want to get are hard to reach,
then maybe you will have a problem getting the Trolley around.
ie. what if you have to scale a gate or go over a Garage roof ?, a
Backpack allows you to have you hands free.
But thats just my oppinion. Terry

I have vanmount + backpack and it works very well.  I guess you need to ask how much work can I not do from the van?  If you're going to be doing more than 3 small houses from the back pack on a regular basis a long way from the van then a trolly may be better, other than that though I'd say that a back pack is he best.

I prefer trolley to backpack.  Difficut to access areas can be done with trolley and hose. Obviously it's a bit more hassle if the hose is not an integral part of the trolley
