For me to give it that many hours a week it wouldn`t be worth it for me,i would be losing money else where.

On 3 mornings a week i am sat about doing nothing waiting until 9.00 to do my domestics .

Now if i had an extra £24000 of shops i would be out of the door at 6.00am and i would have about £100 in my pocket before most window cleaners are even out of bed.

just think about it £24k of extra work that will not interfere with your existing work, to me that is a no brainer.

I would build up a good rapport with the customers then after 12 months i would band them up 25% , shops are usually underpriced and there is always room for improvement in the pricing thats, why my pre 9.00 am work works out nearly double my domestic hourly rate.

I agree with Ian , shops are just as loyal as domestics, I havent seen some of my shop customers for years, i normally do them before they are open and just post them an invoice once a month.

I know what your saying Dave but you`ve got to do it for a year to get your money back, and then you`ve got to do it for another year to make what you paid for it in profit. It would be better if you had someone to do it for you for a few days and then do it yourself for a couple of days.

Just a question, have you tried canvassing any shops yourself ? I have and its all but impossible to gain a foothold.Window cleaners round here that do shops don't do domestic and rounds pass down through the family. Its all very tightly sewn up.
The price seems steep but round here it would never get offered on the open market.

Another point to bear in mind is that you are not really SPENDING the money you  are actually INVESTING it. As long as you dont mess up the round will always be worth the same when you come to sell it.

So in reality you have not worked 10 months for nothing, all you are going to lose is the interest on the money you have borrowed, but that will be tax deductable.

Hi
£20.000 can buy you a lot of leafets, with 20 leaflets you may get one job, you charge £10, that`s more work than you can do by yourself. think very hard before you spend that amount of money, it`s easy to spend but hard to make.

Quiet right,i`m not saying it`s not an investment i`m only saying it`s a lot of money for goodwill. We all know how funny shops can be.
