What a stink
«

I clean a house that unfortunately has dog lovers who must let their pets out to pee allover the courtyard - the smell is overpowering. Several other properties are like this, do dog owners become immune to the stench or what? I'm not a pet lover and find it difficult to work without gagging. I disenfect my hose etc as soon as possible as it stinks my van out too.

Problem is I honestly don't think they notice it. It would be a bit like complaining about someones children. I think I'll just tell them I'm allergic to dogs I think.

Ive let customers go in the past because of the stink.
One customer asked me why I wasn't going to do his anymore an d I actually said "Your garden makes me gag!!" and he looked surprised.

Had a similar house where there were dogs everywhere, you could honestly smell it 3 doors away. Had to watch your step! get that on your boots and its bad for the rest of the day, also the smell is in your nose for ages.
There were muddy snout marks on all the french windows and I had underpriced it!
Gave it up!

Not all of us mate.
I've 2 Rotts, they have their own patio that they have been trained to do the lot on. It's cleared & washed down every day & a nutalizer washed over it when needed.
I cant live with the smell when it gets going & wonder how people do.
For me if a custy has a dog & its bad they are dumped but if its only the odd dump i can live with it as i know it come with owning a dog.
Its cat mess that does my head in.

No too long ago I had a customer whose nieghbour had two dogs. A black and a gold labrador. From the front the house looked respectable but the back was a different story. They didn't appear to ever clean up their dog's mess. Without a word of a lie, there wasn't a square foot of patio that didn't have muck or partly dissolved muck on it. They seemed to be happy to just let the weather deal with it. The look of it and the stench in my customers garden was vile. It was so bad it made me want to puke and I would breathe through my mouth to avoid smelling it whilst cleaning my customers windows. Trouble is, it wasn't my customers fault so I felt I couldn't tell then I wasn't going to clean their windows. How they put up with it I don't know.
