Why don't you telephone your customers the night before, to say that you will be cleaning their windows tomorrow and can they leave the back gate unlocked and the money left somewhere secure.

To much hassle, can you imagine having to do that for the majority of your customers.

I have custy's i phone the night before but thats so they close their windows because i'm Wfp.

I dont collect but i leave a envelope so they can post payment, i don't get any problems with mine saying they were not cleaned because of the envelope.

I`m WFP to but i tell them i wont ring i`ll have to do it when i do it,the only window`s that might be left open are the top opening vents and i shut them with the pole. The only ones i normally ring are the big inside and out jobs, but even then i normally have the gate code numbers so i let myself in.I`ve binned most of the side gate jobs.

I'm a magnet for nutters. One £6 job insisted I phone him the night before, then he said can you leave me this time. In other words he now wanted that I would phone him and he would decide if he wanted it doing or not. I was a bit off with him and had letter given to me by one of his neighbours sacking me.

Another complained of spots and didn't pay(amongst other things, could I do it for less,I hadn't cleaned the sills) and then then when I did it a monthlater said she hadn't got any money. When I called on Friday night (a few days later) she said she hadn't had time to inspect it yet. I told her it wasn't an audition, I cleaned her windows and she payed me. The husband could see I was getting annoyed and he payed. The reason I'd gone back was to look at the windows, even after a month they were perfect, but quite dirty on the inside.

If my customers don`t respect the job they get from me then there dropped end of,i want customers that are pleased to see me not like some of the jokers your talking about.A few years ago i made a decision to forget idiots like this for customers,i have a morgage and bills and can`t and don`t want to be treated like that.No offense but most of the time cleaning areas with people like this in is a waste of time, they don`t have the cash to have a reliable wc.
