yes, there are people who will not respond to leaflets as they view everyone doing this as rouge traders.

I cleaned for a lady the other week who told me that her carpets had needed doing for ages but she simply didnt know who to call or trust, she said she had leaflets coming through her door every couple of weeks (probably mine) but she just didnt trust them she had been tempted to call but was just scared at what level of service she would get from a unknown company. She had turned to the yellow pages but said again it was a minefield so many companys to chose from and no way of telling them apart.

So she said she was thrilled when she had a conversation with a friend who's carpets i had not long cleaned! that told her she had just had hers done and they came up lovely, and asked her friend for my number as if her friend was happy she was sure she would be.

Anyway to cut a long story short i got the job because i was recommended by her friend on the next road, and guess how i got that job "LEAFLETS" at the end of the day leaflets open doors. And as long as you get more back £ for £ than they cost you its gotta be worth it.

do any of you put your prices on your leaflets - those that are happy to quote over the phone?

I did at the beginning - never again.

You will come across the guy with a 150 foot living room or something stupid. Someone near me was adverising 30 quid a room so got hired todo a footballers snooker room, comfortably big enough for 3 full size tables!
