Hi Matt,

Impressive results!

I've tried m-power and original nemesis without much success, i have got a sample of the new nemesis also from John but havent tried it as yet.

Couple of questions for you:

What dilution ratio did you use?
Hot or cold?
Dwell time?
Plain water or boosted rinse?

Hope you dont mind me asking, just wondering if I was doing anything wrong.

All the best,
Jason.

Please excuse the cxxp camera i was using. Also pay no attention to the date on the pics didn't relise it was wrong till i uploaded these pics.lol. This was an 11 years old wool carpet, the owners had a dog and grand children which they regular looked after. The big stain you can clearly see was tea which had been there for quite some time also various other marks all over including various juice stains, candle wax, and some unknown stains.  ???
All seemed to be removed.
regards
matt

Hi Jason,
I diluted 150-1 like it said to, presprayed warm, left to dwell for quite some time as i re-applied it a few times to the worst ares and also while i tackled some of the more stubborn spots and spills. Only aggitation used was with a brush as this is all i have, no inline heater or any type of heater was used just hot tap water with an acidic rinse as the backing was jute, so just wanted to play it safe and avoid browning. Which to this date i can say i have never had it happen to me.
I usually use m-power and to be honest i reckon i could of achieved the same results with it and maybe not had to tackle so many spots and spills individually but who knows.
Soon i will try and do a side by side comparision when i find something dirty enough and will post results.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the reply, did the same as you but without the results!

However I havent tried on wool yet, seems to me like they could be more effective on natural fibres!

Will try again next time i have one to clean.

Thanks again,
Jason.

Jason i was gonna say that to you as that is my findings with m-power also, they seem to work very well on natural fibres i find m-power in the past does most of the cleaning for you on these types of carpets. I must say though i am impressed with this new nemesis it does the job.

Nemesis & M-Power, are very good on Wool indeed, this is definetelly where thier strengths lie.

In my experience, they dont need much agitation just enougth to cover the carpet, i believe the key with theese is to leave a decent dwell of between 10-15 mins (longer if you can) but dont let them dry out, if they start to dry out put more product down ( not as much as first time round) . Then extract.  I like em.

Hi Guys

It's worth remembering that these products are colloids.

That is an active surfactant solution where the molecules are continually moving and contacting with the dirt.

This is why you get a 'self cleaning effect'

Detergents are also surfactants and both  these products will benefit from a dwell time.

I would not expect a colloid to clean any better than a detergent but it may be easier and a useful selling point.

It is always worth having a range of different chemicals on the van, as despite what some might claim,  there really is no one chemical which which will clean all.

Cheers

Doug
