TDS linear Filter
« on: April 03, 2007, 10:01:37 pm »
Hi guys

We have the Ionic reach and wash system and for the past year we have noticed that the blue filter which I believe is called TDS liner filter has changed to Browne more quickly than usual, so I am wondering if any of you have the same problem, because if so the Ionic have something to answer for. When we first bought our system it lasted for at least six months and we were doing the same amount of work as we do now.

Regards

Bosh

Are you able to check the TDS immediately before the resin filter?  Could it be that as the membranes on your RO get used, they are producing water that has a TDS a bit higher than it used to be?
I'm assuming that the "TDS liner filter" is the colour change resin container.

Hi shiner

Well yes the TDS linear filter does change from blue to Browne but it is changing in a  faster rate than before, when I asked the supplier, they said that it might be something to do with the water in your area, but that doesn’t make any sense , because I have always used the same water from our area.
