hi all just a quick question what is the best way to wash these cloths. (ha ha i know in the washing machine)
what i mean is what temperature in the washing machine and if any of you use washing powder and softner.
sorry if this sounds a thick question.

Scrims (eugh, nasty things!)
A cool wash is fine, just on a rinse program with no powder or softener - there's normally enough soap in them by the end of the day anyway. Once the machine's finished, (check there's no dirt still in the bit just inside the door, if there is just put them on again) give them an extra wring and a flick-out then hang them up to dry. Don't put them in the tumble-drier - well, go on then and find out why!

Microfibres
Same again - remember that conditioner ruins them, it clogs up the fibres - every so often you can stick them in a hot wash, I think they can take 90^o

I do them by hand in the sink.

Just run them under the hot tap, sprinkle a bit of washing powder on them and scrunch them around a bit.

Keep rinsing until dirt stops coming out, and hang on radiator.

Takes 3 or 4 minutes probably.
Why waste electricity?

I wash them on a 40 degree wash daily and every so often i wash on a boil wash using wash powder only but not softner

Microfiber cloths (only ever used them) Put them in a bucket with a bit of washing liquid, let them in there for the afternoon or night, then 60c wash, no conditioner, after that just tumble dryer. Works fine, get's rid of all the nasty stains.

Might not be the best method, but works for me, it says you can wash them at 90c lol, never needed to do that heh.

Squeaky Clean, thats what i do, only because i dont know how to work the machine i have,

I've always thrown them in the washing machine  on a quick wash, a little powder and then thrown them in the tumble drier, with scrim I've found that the tumble drier helps to get rid of some of the lint, but never use softener with either scrim or microfibre.

I find if you continually clean the filter then they come out all right!

30 degrees "quick wash" seems to get them clean enough, I don't use powder or anything, the ettore liquid in them does that bit. I tumble dry em with no fluffy problems!
