conservatory cleaning ???
«

Anyone on here any information/advice on starting a conservatory cleaning business.
Would it be possible to get enough customers to go full time into this?
Do customers require a repeat clean maybe twice a year or more?
Are people willing to pay £60-£200 for this service?
considering that cons cost thousands to build you would reckon that people would pay
well for you to clean and maintain them.
I would be looking to clean with conservatory roof access ladders and using specialist upvc cleaners.
Tried looking for info on the net but nothing much usefull in way of research, where better to look than the clean it up forum with so much experience im sure you can help.
Any info most appreciated, and im sure helpfull to others looking to start in this area as well. Cheers

I think most w/c's offer this service, i do.
I can't see just having conservatories as the main business been able to make enough money.
You would need quite a few custmers to keep going, plus you would have to cover alot of area to offer your service.
Just my thoughts

i have a lot of customers snubb me when i start to throw fiqures of £50 - £100 to clean conservatories, so i clean the roofs instead over a period of time for a lot cheaper.

most ppl are already getting it done by their window cleaner, for less than half the prices you mention!

I think you'll find that most people who have w/c's also have their cons done by them as well so I think you'll struggle to make a living specialising in this.
I'm trad and as long as the customer isn't over-fussy as to how good the roof comes out I can clean an 11 pane con in roughly 1/2 hr and I'll charge an extra £10 or £15 on top of the rate for the house.
I think the £60-£100 jobs are if you're talking in terms of renovating and bringing it up to pristine condition....once a year job I should imagine so you'd need tons of customers to make a living.

I have a minimum charge of 100.00 to clean a conservatory, 3m x 3m, Thats roof frames and glass outside. Anything bigger the price goes up and it also goes up depending on how bad it is. I find people will pay it as they do not want to do it themselves. But you can not just live off conservatory cleans.

I advertise this heavily, and charge from £100 upwards.
If done properly you can bring a cons back to its just installed condition again!!
I have 10,000 leaflets dropped at a time, but this is seasonal, so get ready for the spring!!!

I do a few cons and they are all a clean at the end of spring and again in autumn, i wish I ahd hundreds of them but only a dozen or so at the mo. I usually charge between £35 and £50 and nobodies complained yet.
I am looking into getting some good TFR as I have read on here that this is the best way to go about it. If anyone knows of a good supplyer then pls let me know. It has to be non-caustic I beleive.

Why just conservatories?
The number of houses i see with filthy window frames makes me think it might be a go-er as a stand alone business.
£10/15 per average house for 'specialist' upvc cleaning might get their attention.

we have been going nearly 4 years and are called conservatory roof cleaning serevices people will pay the money and have us back once to twice a year we do a pucker job and bring them back to new we use proffesionnal conservatory ladders to get right on top of them. But it took alot of advertising and we have a window round aswell plus do gutter and cladding cleaning you wouldnt get enough work doing just conservatorys.
