I'm the same as Malc, I've the Unger poles and stick to them for the same reasons...they are just so versatile.
It depends on the height of the house though, often I only have 2 sections of the pole in use, so it is pretty light to use on the downstairs windows, if I have high work, I'll just pull out the thinest section and leave the others up agains a wall and use that on the downstairs windows.
There times when I'll have my 'diddy' pole (like Malc's) to hand and I'll just swap the brush assembly over.
The cheap Unger poles have their disadvantages, but they are really light, and if you have your 'feed' over the top, you only need use the sections you have to.
