truckmount pressure?
« on: November 19, 2006, 06:49:02 pm »
Hi all,

Still getting used to me new t/m and am finding it a real boon to the business.

just wondering what the average pressure should be when cleaning carpets with the truckmount (pro mount 18)?

I was advised to use 250 psi but have recently been turning it up to around 450 -500,( and notice a lot better cleaning results, ).

what would you say is the limit before you actually over wet or damage the carpets?

I understand it makes a difference to type of carpet, but just talking generally!

cheers

Cleaning agent has a part to play

I’ve tried 800psi (pub) deceasing now settle for 250 to 300psi carpet, never been know to over wet, experimenting with cfr hand tool 250 bit ott.

I have been using 480 with my TM but found it a little too powerfull down to 400 now same with the drimaster handtool you can adjust it on the tool so no need to adjust the psi on the TM. ive had some good results over the last 6months with the Drimaster on upholstery with my portable but even better with the TM, and i clean a lot and i mean a lot of upholstery ( 3 suites a week at least!)

Thanks for the replies guys 8)

seems like around 400 for carpets is the average so i'll think i'll stick to that!

I must admit i am finding getting it right for upholstery a little tricky, sometimes it leaving it too wet and others not hitting the fibres enough to clean properly.
(enclosed jet handtool)

Think i'll just have to play around a little more, and perhaps invest in a drimaster tool, although a little pricey for my liking ::)
