I reckon a washer on the end of a pole and a hose can be as quick as wfp if not quicker, especially using soap to break down the dirt quickly.

Think how you wash your car or wash the pots , you use a cloth and rinse on both, I would use a wfp but did plenty by hand when i was trad.

It looks like one of them jobs where you could get 95% of the dirt off in the first 15 minutes , but the quality is in the detail which takes the longest.

Some people would stop after 95% and think it was clean , the true proffesional would carry on for another 20 mins to make sure it was 100% clean.

Remember one persons "clean" is another persons "dirty", so you cant really compare times.

How would you do the plastic parts in between the panes traditional style? :)

Dave you beat me to it!!!!!

I was also going to add i do quite a few of these, some on a regular enough basis but seeing what others are cherging i think i might have to look at my pricing strategy!

The £20 for the old gal was that for just the roof or what?

How much do you charge, say, for each panel to include the plastic trim, etc!?

Exactly the same , washer on a pole and then rinse or clean off with a scrim, i did years of cleaning gutters with wet and dry scrims, also i reckon i could cope without an extention pole on that particular job

Hm, interesting....could you also hook yours up to an external tap or something? Or was it just a pole with a brush and dip in in your bucket? :)

Did you do the windows and frames or just tops??

When you do cons do you clean gutters out or just do outside of gutter???

We gave the gutters a very quick wipe over with a scrim to get rid of dirt that had spilled over.
No did not do the inside of the gutter only do that if they ask.

Gave the bottom windows & frames a once over aswell.

Dave you are right. We got 95% of the green of in 15-20 mins and when you stood back and looked at the roof from the outside it look clean, but when we looked from the inside there was still traces of green in the corners and black crap in the groves.

Nice job!

Do you use just pure water or do you dip your brush in GG4/Fairy/whatever first?

We just used pure water to do the job.

I am not sure what you mean but a strip washer is a very versatile tool, which can clean as good as a wfp on most roofs.

I thought you ment that you had your own makeshift wfp but then connected to an outside tap lol

I'm with Squeeks on the 20 minute Job.

This semi had three sides done each took half an hour and that was up and down the ladder, and all done by hand.

The rear of the house took me longer as I had to do above the consevatory with a Brush and pole, connected to mains water. this took 45 minutes.

The third shot is just to show how dirty it was.

The fourth picture is the rear of  another house and the standards I like to work to. all done by hand using good old fairy and a ladder with stand-off  ;D
If anyone want to use them help your self.
