Hi everyone,
Need a bit of help again please. I operate from a van with a flojet 100psi pump and 6in microbore hose. I have adapted a 10 meter piece of reinforced 6in ID pipe into a y shape so that I can use it to plug in the end of the microbore to allow 2 people to operate from one hose. This was going fine until I realised that the pressure/flow coming out of the extended 24ft pole was getting weaker. It has now stopped coming out of the extened pole altogether. What could the problem be? Could it be air in the system? if it is how can I tell? or is it my pump weakening. I have noticed that the pump does not cut out anymore.

Yep battery is charged and is only about three months old, could it of got damaged in the cold weather do you think?

I think its better to have 1 pump per pole.

in a nutshell you need 1 pump for each pole, if you turn off the groundfloor pole you will notice increase in pressure and visaversa

we operate two poles from one pump, no problems with pressure, except whenthe battery starts to run down

do you have seperate hoses off of one pump or do you share a hose? Do you use microbore?

Doesn't one pump per pole also mean one varistream per pump?

We use one pump/varistream for 2 poles. Split at outlet port on van (normal hose to that point.) Then have two seperate reels with microbore. Works well.

Yes, I have already tried it that way and for some reason it does work better, it's just two reels are a pain in the neck. Guess that's what I will have to do.

Yes that is the only way we can set our vans up to get good pressure, i think its the best way of working

using 2 reels of microbore means you have twice as much volume of tubing for the pump to displace water into - therefore  you will get greater output than using one reel with a splitter on the end.

however a seperate pump and varistream is the ideal setup.

I can see where you are coming from Steve, I should of explained that I work with my wife, I do top's she does bottoms. so two hoses are a pain for me but if that is the only way of doing it then I will have to. Thanks for your help mate
