Wasnt Ionics the first in the U.K 1996, 10 years ago.
Ionics (formerly Over The Top which may have had a name change due too the OTT price gags) took the Tucker pole (which has been around for decades beforehand) and improved on it then dragged it into the new millenium. Basically everyone who has made more money since going WFP has Ionics to thank. As a company they have single handedly changed an industry, despite what people think of them, and a hell of a lot of Window Cleaning Co's are better off for it.
It does make me laugh when you see the company who aggressively pushed the WFP into the cleaning world then turn around when marketing a zero waste RO with the 'if you have a social conscious about wasting water' you should buy this! If it wasn't for you guys i wouldn't be wasting water in the first place thanks!
