Caution Accidents Happen
« on: November 05, 2006, 05:56:59 am »
Hi All

Just a quick one about how easily accidents happen in a mili-second.

No injuries just damaged roof window, i had almost finished power washing external of big building, the lance was held securely all the time working & moving cherry-picker. Near the end i had told the lad to stop window cleaning at a specific point. he was waving & shouting at me which i could not hear so i bent to off machine & i hadnt secured the lance in its holder properly think it was important. And you can guess it fell but, not on grass where we had been all day on the roof of course. Smashing a roof panel.

What he had done was to clean further down the building, did it matter, no.

So thats how quickly an accident can happen, beware its always when you dont expect, especially now its winter.

We do a lot of unusual stuff & i was proud how we never had accidents, because i covered everything that could or was always very cautious.

How much roof light ? Find out monday.

Gary.
