Joy's of being a mod  ;D

Trev

Trev, you now understand why I 'passed the baton'!

I also agree with D Woods's excellently explained post;

Quote from D Woods:

Hi Guys
If you have separate sections on the forum it will result in less people
posting. If you don't believe me look at the forums on cleaning pros
and professional window cleaner they are dead.

In my opinion this is because they have so many different sections.

All the arguments and disagreement's (and good advise) about all the
different ways of window cleaning are what makes this forum so interesting.

so I change my mind and vote a 'no'; we're fine how we are.

Maybe it's good we've guys like Squeaky and Groundhog to give an alternate point of view; no matter how biased, anecdotal and often just plain wrong their arguments are. ;D

It would be a boring forum if we all agreed on the same topics.

A lot of the reason its dead is because people cannot get on to join! I've tried umpteen times and never had a reply

I dont think there should be separate sites ! But maybe all of our names/titles should include whether we are trad or wfp or both , so that every thread , message comment etc that we read or respond to we know in advance from which piont of view the topic is coming from or aimed at !

No, no way. We are all window cleaners no matter how we choose to do the job. Most WFP guys have been trad for many years before taking the plunge, and still have a lot to offer new trad guys.
We sometimes tend to forget that the vast majority of w/c's are still trad.
As Squeaky once pointed out, the reason that most posts refer to WFP is because we have more problems.
Many of the guys who are still trad are considering changing to WFP. Please don't change the mix, We all learn from each other. Dai

I think it should stay "together" as it is handy in so many ways. It may cause a few arguments along the way but an argument is just a tool to decide right from wrong and bad from good etc. There are people on here who are new to window cleaning and it is helpful to them to look at both worlds e.g trad and wfp.
If your in just one section, then it is fairly likely there will be less information to spark you off into "wondering" about what others are up to and the possibility of gaining an interest in there field of work.

When i came on here I didnt even know how wfp systems worked, but luckily there were ppl on here that talked about there wfp work and i had to find out from them what it was all about. I may or may not go into wfp, but still...the advice and experiance was there and now i have an understanding of it. Im not saying i couldnt have looked elsewhere for the info but it was still worth learning about!

at the end of the day, this is a very good forum and i have learnt a lot from the ppl on here and i'm sure others have too, arguing is common place when there are two different types of job within the same ballgame (if you know what i mean) but that does not mean its a bad thing...just real life!!

No No NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Dont change it.

Never change a winning formula.

I have Just read the latest posts on the topic of "Speed of wfp". Peter writes its been one of the best topics for a long time and one he Has enjoyed. Thats despite him being slagged off, But the guy has stood his corner very well indeed. The posts of Squeaks and Groundhog will be sadly missed if they are just stuck in the trad section.

The diffrent and varied views are one of the reasons I keep coming to the forum nearly every night much to the bosses consternation. I want to read whats been said. Sad I know.

What a boring forum this would be if it was split into two! :(  And the wfp bandwagon would get out of control, if it wasn't for people like Squeaky and myself to bring it back down to earth with a bump ;D

I vote to keep the forum as it is and keep the lively debates going ;)
