I have read lots of post from and about these guys, and whilst i dont want to go down that road myself dave, i think its a service worth considering for some guys ,
so i wont knock it at all,

but if i could afford to pay these guys i may as well buy a round which is well established.

GAZZASP8, yes its probably better if you can buy an established round, but if you want to expand or starting up, or moving to a new area, doorknockers will have you up and running in no time, in some cases they could create a round cheaper than you can buy,

my real name is plain joe lol, they door knock for trad or wfp, from the guys i have spoken to, they are very experiened in both catacories and explain fully to the new customers what is being done, if any customers back out, doorknockers refund you, you cant get better than that,
if they get you £100 worth of work you pay £200, its that simple, and they guarantee it, and thats from the horses mouth, if you dont have the gift of the gab, leave it to these guys,

Hi joe,
had a quick look at site just now, it would cost me a fortune up here in the north, or down here in the north to you lol.....they will charge me  b and b.....etc also, because i am in the north the prices per clean are lower so it takes the door knockers longer to earn their money so that cost is then passed on to me,

so a good idea down south but not in the north of england i think. :(

Gary.

p.s... why dont we set one going up here .. ;) oops.

I may very well be using them myself in the near future, and I have seen nothing on here to worry me about using them at all, despite Andy pandys ravings ::) I may well need to expand quickly and they seem an easy way of doing it I think they quote 1 in 10 will sign up, then as most know you'll pick up others in the streets after, I cant see how you can lose.

i cant drill it into her indoors head that if i carry on at this rate i will lose more in wages pro rata,.. than paying these guys to build for me to be honest... told you all before lol.... you are my family at the mo, as there no back up or interest on the home front  :(..

That's a great pity that you have no support at home Gazza.  I've been there myself.  In fact, the person I used to live with (+ her kids) weren't just uninterested, they were actively obstructive.  This was in spite of the fact that I had been w/c'ing for a few years when I met her.  It's important (though not essential) to have support from indoors when you are starting a business.  I bet they won't mind spending the money you make once you get on a roll.

Hi All

I was thinking of getting a small loan to pay for this service.

As for the family, I do have great back up, all trying to help.

But i would like to get my round up to a good size quicker some how, Then my wife can stay at home.

She's been so supportive through the period of having cancer and me going through chemo, Now all i would like is to make this window round work so she can give up her Job of which she hates.

But at the moment her money is the main income.

So i will look into this doorknockers and see if i can raise the money.

Gazza i think these people are alot cheaper than buying a round.
They may even have some up the north to canvasse for you.

Regards Dave

Guys, I do not know where some of you are from....But an idea just smacked me in the head....Loads of guys struggling....how about creating a co-op style thingy....

a few of you get together at a weekend and canvass each others rounds for the other members....obviously this requires trust.....why not help each other?

Just a thought..... ;D

Dave.
