Rotary Extractor or WonderWand?
« on: August 06, 2006, 04:50:18 pm »
Am thinking of upgrading from a twin jet standard wand and was considering either a Wonderwand or a rotary exractor like the Rotary DriMaster.

I have heard good things about the WonderWand but nothing whatsoever about the Rotary DriMaster. Is it worth considering, or what do you think would give me the best results against a traditional wand? I dont fancy the Rotovac as it seems too heavy and I'm worried about getting into the corners!

Any ideas?

By the way, we do mostly domestic and are also considering going Woodbridge TM (Pro25)....from the ProPlus - if this helps.

I am looking at different options at the moment and am in no immediate rush. I subsequently just wondered however, why is there 2 for sale? Are they not that good?

I was looking at the RX20 aswell but it did seem a bit big and heavy? Im also wondering whether these rotary extractors leave circular marks on the carpet pile, which then has to be re-set?

At the end of the day I just wondered if there was any system that is actually better than the wand? (please dont post re: dry clean/low moisture - no disrespect I just prefer HWE for domestic).

Thanks again for anyone responding.

i have both the wonderwand and the rdm. both are good systems but also both worlds apart. a few local cc's tried my rdm one liked it and the other two did not . but one of the cc's who did not like the rdm also did not like the wonerwand.
its all horses for courses. the rdm is fantastic with low psi and will clean a carpet just as well as a high pressured psi system. the wonder wand like high psi 400 minimum and will take up to 1000psi. but it is unique and some people think that it does not clean as well as a conventional wand because of the angle of the jets and the way the wand is constructed .
what i suggest to you is contact hydromaster and borrow the rdm for a week and then contact Matt at cleansmart and borrow the wonderwand for a week . that way you can make your own mind up and consider the investment. alternatively come to the event at woodbridge on the 19th and you will be able to try both systems there
