Leafleting- Employing someone & DIY
« on: August 04, 2006, 03:19:29 pm »
I have today been comparing the response rates we get from our leaflets.
The first question we ask customers calling is where they received our number from and which special offer are they calling from. So information is very accurate.

Over the last 3 months we have delivered the exact same leaflet with special offer rates which some of you might think are a bit splash and dash rates. Although the average job price we get from it is £80.00 after some sales talk from myself or by my charming but unreasonable wife. Delivered in four different ways. To carefully selected postcode areas so not to double up.

When leaflets are delivered by either myself, wife or brother/business partner. We received a .09% call return. (4000 delivered)

When leaflet delivered by local leafleter I have used for years as a solus. We received a 0.2% return. (10000 delivered)

When delivered by larger leafleting company with 5 other leaflets we received a 0.05% return. (10000 delivered)

When delivered by local multi-national newspaper inside local free paper we received 0.02% (10000 delivered)

We also tried to use our local publisher of parish magazines, although when I went to his unit to pay his invoice for the delivery I spotted a pile of 5000 leaflets in the corner which he told me had been delivered and he had invoiced for.

The response we got from doing the leaflets ourselves was excellent and proved very profitable. However treading my Town's streets is hard work and to be honest if I was employed leafleter on minimum wage or charging someone £35.00 to deliver a 1000 leaflets I would probably bin half of them.

Moral of the storey is you can’t really trust anyone!

Hi ,

Are these figures correct or should the first read 0.9, otherwise I'd sack the family ;D

Prody, which is it ,
I think you were correct first time :-\

even this figure , i would say is pretty high 0.09   equates to 9 jobs per thousand leaflets as

0.9 =  90 jobs per thousand  , I think   ;D  ;D

maybe its just my maths, some body please correct me if im wrong :-\ because either way they are good

Email me your address and I will post you a calculator, special delivery.

1000 x 0.9% = 9 jobs per thousand.
