I wonder if the reel master will continue to be as good now that they have been bought over by WCW?

I was disappointed with my last pure freedom order when they sent me a different product to what the website showed. A previous hose that I always used and like from pure freedom, was then changed to bog standard window cleaning warehouse hose.
The reels are still manufactured by Adepta Engineering in Grimsby so I don’t see any reason why the quality will be compromised.

Reel arrived and mightily impressed. Looks, well built and will last a long time. All I need to do is put it together and fit it into the van. Will give an update when I begin using it. One thing I have found out in this game is that you have got to buy the best because everything takes a daily pounding.

One thing ive found in this game is window cleaners are a sucker for marketing, from £1200 hose reels to 5k for a tank with 2 pumps stuck on called a "system"  to gutter vacs that are a rebranded £500 generic machine with "gutter sucker" wrote on it for £1500  :D the list goes on.

Only thing taking a pounding is your wallet.

If you are making £300 to £400 a day then it makes sense to put it into equipment that makes life easier. At the end of financial year you will pay 30% tax anyway so it makes sense to run with the best. One thing I have found in this game, you only get what you put in. I was out yesterday and today cleaning and the tips kept coming as I chatted away to my customers. Will probably order another PF reel in the future because they are so good. Remember, equipment costs are only heading one way.

You were out cleaning residential on Boxing Day?

Completely believable, I also did a few. Scored a monkey, mostly cash that I overtrousered. Chatted to lots of customers about my mate who invented the hot water 5 man system that I use as a 1 man with 3 spare platinum electric reels, just in case the other 4 break.
I don’t care what you think I’m off to the pub with my mate Walter Mitty.
Cheers.

I think I'm getting Americanised. I always do a clean last Friday  and Saturday of the month next to big shopping centre. So it was hard for me to fit them in so I just went out and did them. Folk were happy to see me and I could go to the sales at the shopping centre after the 12 cleans. We owned a hotel and used to work 365 days a year so working is a way of life to me.

However, the best-known theory states that Boxing Day is named after the practice of wealthy aristocrats giving boxes and gifts to their servants one day after Christmas. Traditionally, servants would work on Christmas Day but were given the next day off to spend with their families.

I don't have any servants so Boxing day doesn't make any sense to me.🤔

Is there a way to switch off power to the digital display or does it stay on all the time?

Of course you can turn it off but obviously the reel won't work if it's turned off!🙂

It works just like any other digital display just hold the right hand button down until it turns off.

I turn mine on in the morning and put it on battery display and turn it off after my last job. I run mine on 99 all day.👍
price higher/work harder!

Yes I was aware the reel wouldn’t work if it was switched off, but when I connected it up to the battery the digital display was on and I couldn’t get it off. My other controller for the pump has an individual power switch, this one doesn’t and it didn’t come with any instructions.
