I think personally for any cash payers I have I will just request online payments from them to stick with the guidelines of not being in touch with anyone at all if possible. Most of mine are online payers anyway but I've got the same concerns for some of the old dears who do pay cash.

Is everyone working tomorrow? I'm undecided at the moment.

i live in Southport and as of today not one case has been reported.
Southport hospital is 100% clear of the virus but they are expecting cases in the next 2 weeks.
Info came from a customer who is a doctor also a pathology nurse.

That's because we are all still shopping and carrying on pretty much as normal not even knowing if we are carriers yet. The time bomb is ticking and  counting down. It will be months if not years before we learn exactly how this virus has been so contagious and catasrophic.

If it helps guys I think I’m going to send a text to customers the night before(as I need to for some that keep gates locked) along the lines of us carrying on as normal and we won’t be in contact as you can pay online and for the cash payers to please arrange for a bank transfer.

As much as we need to earn money I still don’t want to risk infecting an old dear or somebody

We will carry pretty much as normal,  a few changes are - no 2 man work or van sharing - no knocking for cash - people will be asked to ring or pay online - no internal cleans

so far ive just had 3 people to put windows on hold - all every elderly with health issues - if the government impose a lockdown then of course work will have to stop - same as any of the guys would rather not work and self isolate  then im fine with that

I have very few over 70, i can only think of 3 that must be around that age off the top of my head.

Just hold your breathe, out stretch and arm and get the cash without touching them or get them to pay online

not much difference..ill still take the customers cash but from a distance....ill get them to leave it on their bin for example,if they need change ill leave it on the bin....ok the money im leaving COULD have the virus on it but its just not worth thinking about for long...itll drive you crazy......most customers pay online anyway and the odd contactless card payment...

some steps ive took are

1.ill be carrying a spray bottle with bleach in a holster on my belt for doors and handles....

2.antibacterial wipes in the van for cleaning the hose when reeling in...

3.alcohol hand gel in the van...

4.liquid hand soap in the van...

5.wear nitrile gloves...

price higher/work harder!

I've lost loads by assuming they were over 70 and they weren't.
In my defence, I am up North.

oh and not doing any internal work at the mo'
