New ro reading
« on: January 15, 2020, 06:38:20 pm »
I’ve just replaced pre filters and ro with hf5 running 55 psi how long should I do a flush for first and then what should I expect the readings to be after ro? Thanks

Anything in single figures (ppm) is good.
What's your tap tds?

Tap TDS is 290 ish I do have a v11 controller  and booster pump coming so that will push it up to 80 psi the recommended for the hf5 so will low pressure keep the readings a little higher for now as the ro isn’t running at its best? Thanks

Yeah i reckon if you get your pressure up to 80 psi you should be looking at an output Tds of below 9ppm.

One of the suppliers says around 2 hours.

It could take a while thereafter to settle down, maybe a couple of production days. However, mine had limited flushing and stared producing water from day 1 at 98% rejection rate.

I flushed it for about an hour and it went to 19 it’s now filling the van so I popped out and took another reading and it’s 16 so maybe after a few production days it will get lower.
