Pole hose

Best pole hose for cold water not using univalve?

I find Gardiners all season pole hose poop and their pu hose (green) not much better. Wondering about trying their reinforced hose or are other suppliers any better?

The black pole hose Ionics used to do was the best I found. Others too prone to twisting/tangling/looping.

Gardiners red PU hose is good, so is rhino hose. Trick is to gather up pole hose in large loops rather than small hoops so it don't coil up  and get tangled easily.

I’ve been using this for the past week and seems ok so far and I use a univalve https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=222400163503&_sacat=0

Same here can’t fault gardiner’s green hose with cold or hot water, I think any tingling issues most people must have is due to wrapping up as I use hoseless set up and it untwists any sort of tangles  everytime I reel it all in!

Hands down best hose i've ever used and the guys say the same in the franchise.

https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hoses/pole-hose/green-flexible-pu-pole-hose-5-5mm-id-x-8mm-od.html

Goes onto electric reels and nobody has ever had a split or tangle problems!!

Thanks for replies guys.

I think because I hold the hose in my hand  (so I can reach tap on pole hose) instead of simply pulling hose across the ground (and using a univalve) this may give rise to more issues with pole hose twisting.

ALL hoses are rubbish

Ive tried maybe 10 different ones and they all tangle after a while

Gardiner green is probably the best, but even that after a couple of weeks is  the same.

Nice to know I am not the only one.

The struggle is real.

The best hose going is Rhino 10mm pole hose (virtually impossible to kink, closely followed lay flat 8mm rhino hose. Then PU 8mm red hose.

Same as others, i've tried loads and it's all much of a muchness!

The Green PU is ok but I have to remember to undo the coils, formed as a result of winding it on the reel. So a few times a day I just turn the pole anti-clockwise a few turns, as I'm heading back to the van.

I might try that light green stuff! Thanks for that.

I have ordered some of the reinforced pole hose from Gardiners, can't be worse than anything else I have.
