Hi all, I am looking at the slx and the super max at a 40 + feet is there a different in the 2 poles,  I am struggling to see one, apart from price. Thanks all.

I use both .i think at the extra height the super max it is a bit more ridged than my 35 slx

if your going over 35ft then pay the little extra and get the extreme

I have the extreme 47 and ultimate 80. Just need hard wearing 40+ poles, not at silly money. Thanks

There is a difference 

The SLX47 is a 10 section pole which is much shorter when closed and hence is useful for those with smaller vans.

However the downside of this compactness compared to a SMAX45 is that it has a wider handle diameter(+6mm), is heavier (+490g) and is slightly less rigid than the SMAX due to the SMAX have a slightly different grade of carbon in some sections.
