Been Trying Screwfix PVC Window Cleaner
« on: June 14, 2017, 05:18:44 pm »
As title. I have quite a large plastic porch and all window frames etc to clean. Its all quite grubby. I tried the screwfix pvc cleaner which is quite good but would take a long time to do.  Is there anything easier? I have also No nonsence Heavy Duty Degreaser.
Is this any good for the job?  I used to use Virisol but never found that much good.
Thanks,
Steve

squirt on brush or directly on sill/frame and scrub away followed by a good rinse.i think you ll be surprised how good it is at removing stubborn dirt on  greying sills.

they all take time so price well. ;)

Use the no nonsense degreaser, dilute 1 litre to 20 parts water, apply through backpack gently agitating with brush, leave for a few mins then wash off. Job done.
Cif is also very good though..

tfr20 is the fast acting you only need a soak time of 1 minit max ,if you use ubik2000 virosol ect you need 5 minits to let it dwell to work wich it does , some people are now using bleach in there spray guns wich works or a week hypo mix, benzblack wash is also very good on realy badly stained upvc  ,but its not cheep and it only has 3 month shelf life !

Do you dilute the tfr20?  If it gets on the glass is it hard to get off?
Cheers

somebody on here recently suggested using a biological washing powder, I've tried it now on two conservatories and it worked a treat. I just filled a bucket with the solution and used my brush to apply it then rinsed and scrubbed. Came up like new.
