Attaching flow controller to metal plate
« on: April 01, 2017, 06:38:32 pm »
I've a metal plate on the side of a new tank and frame I want to attach a flow controller to. There are no predrilled holes and the tank is in situ. The metals 3mm thick and will take some force on the drill to get through. Im worried about overshooting through the tank.

Any ideas for installing the flow controller. Im thinking epoxy resin right now but if it ever dies Ill never get it off.

i used this to attach a flow controller and isolating switch to the side of my van. Was a bit sceptical at first but it has held up for over a year now.

I got the 50mm size and covered the whole of the back of the flow controller and just stuck it on.

If you can, put a bit of scrap metal/piece of wood behind the pre exitisng plate and then drill your holes. That way you'll hit the scrap metal/wood before the tank

You only need to punch a small hole, use self tappers to create the actual hole size you need

you could also use those picture frame velcro strips, you can get them from all supermarkets.
