« on: December 18, 2016, 11:05:16 am »
Thinking of getting van trackers for my vans and was wondering were is the best place to buy them from, looking live time ones not ones were you have to upload data to computer each evening. Also is there some laws around them, employee recons they are invasion of privacy.

There's no laws. It's your van mate, if he's using it for things he shouldn't; that's his problem.

I use ram tracking. It's OK, there are better ones but they are more expensive.

How much are you talking for 2 vans? Would it be a one off payment or monthly?

Thanks, Wayne

You can do it either way. It's up to you. Not sure on the price, if I remember right it's 300 up front or 15-20 per month per tracker. Summat around that.

we use  masternott and there great ! , there is laws on them soupys wrong , if your lads pay  tax on the vans (i.e. part of there tax code not road tax )  and can use them for sdp then you have to get private buttons fitted with the trackers as you have no rights to track them on there own time ,

however if they don't pay the tax for private use then you can do what you like

I shouldn't think Soupy's vehicles are available for private use. I'm going to get trackers soon but I don't think I would if they were available out of work.
