Conservatory Roof Ladder
« on: December 13, 2016, 06:31:29 pm »
Hi, does anyone in the Poole area of Dorset have a conservatory roof lader I could borrow ?
While cleaning a roof today I knocked off the finion (think that's what it's called) it must of been
Loose as just touched it and it came off. Can not reach to put it back up from normal ladder
And didn't want to put my weight on the roof, so need a proper means of getting up to slot it back
Into place.  Thanks for any ideas or loan of ladder.

A 'nifty nabber' like the council guys use to pick up litter or the more difficult DIY version which is as follows..

A length of hollow tube (John Guest type stuff) push some string or wire up, then back down the tube leaving a small loop at the end - grip the finial in the loop and pull tight from the other end. Now you've got the damned thing gripped just got to get it back up there.

Oh! and to get the string through the hollow tube tie a pen to it n slide along - a friend told me that  ;D and he told me he'd put mastic on the finial to stop the ****** idiot knocking it off again  ???
